The Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia has secured a grant to complete all chapters of the Eurydice National Description.
Eurydice, a European Commission initiative established in 1980, provides detailed information on European education systems and policies. In January 2024, Georgia, alongside Moldova and Ukraine, joined the Eurydice Network, expanding the platform to 43 national units and enhancing opportunities for educational exchange and cooperation .
The newly acquired grant will enable the Ministry to finalize comprehensive documentation of Georgia’s education system, encompassing all levels from early childhood to adult learning. This endeavor will facilitate evidence-based policy making, finalizing deeper integration into the European educational community.
Representatives from Georgia’s Ministry have expressed enthusiasm about this advancement. Ana Baramia stated, “It is an immense pleasure to join this wonderful team of great people. We are happy to be on board, to be part of the Eurydice network, and we hope for excellent cooperation” .
This initiative not only underscores Georgia’s commitment to educational reform but also opens new avenues for cross-border collaboration and the development of joint educational initiatives.
